The Vampires バンパイヤ by Osamu Tezuka *inactive*
I am translating/scanlating this because it is currently not available in English, as a service to all the Tezuka fans out there! See the September 30th post for details and general information on the story. The second segment of the story (which encompasses volume 4) remains an unfinished work, as the magazine it was running in was cancelled.
***1/5/08 – IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT - I will not be continuing this project. I am going to be focusing on the John Lennon manga. There were some copyright issues with this project – someone told me they did the first three volumes of Vampires once but got in trouble with Tezuka Pro. If this project was to continue, it would be in the form of legal text-only translations you can read along with the book, but I will not continue such a translation, because I am currently also working on a text-only translation of Tezuka’s Age of Adventure and possibly some other Tezuka works in the future (More information on those can be found on my main manga translation page).
And if you’re from VERTICAL or Dark Horse…..give me a job! 
If you want to buy “Vampires”, you can try amazon.co.jp (the manga are cheap but the shipping is very expensive). If you read French, you can buy the French editions (tezukainenglish.com has information on where to buy those). And who knows, maybe VERTICAL will pick this one up for translation later… Be sure to follow TezukainEnglish.com (site + forums) if you are interested in anything Tezuka-related…I’ve joined, have you?
